We took Fletcher to Chuck E. Cheese's today. He didn't eat any pizza, but he did enjoy playing. For the first time, he actually went down a slide by himself. In the past, we've had to put him on top of the slide and slide him down, but today he went up the steps himself and, after watching a little girl take her turn, slid down the slide all by himself.
He also enjoyed looking at the animatronic Chuck E. Cheese, but was a little scared of the teenager in the Chuck E. Cheese costume walking around scaring children. He kept trying to climb the skee ball area and take everyone's skee balls.

Fletcher turned 21 months old yesterday. He is getting taller very fast and seems to learn something new each day. His speech is still mostly gibberish but I think he's trying to say things to us. We just don't understand. Meanwhile, he usually gets what he wants by pointing, and using the "more" sign language symbol. He loves to color with crayons and recently we gave him some sidewalk chalk that he absolutely adores. He has adorned our patio, brick walls, and front door with blue scribbles.
Fletcher (and us) will get to see The Wiggles live on August 3. We are excited for him because he loves The Wiggles. We aren't sure yet, if he will love it, or find it sort of daunting. But we can't wait.

All of us drove up to Amarillo for the July 4 holiday. We stayed with Grandmommy Judy at her PDC cabin and while the heat was miserable, Fletcher seemed to have a good time. He now enjoys going down slides, sort of enjoys being in the pool, and loves squealing with delight at the sight of other children his age. Fletcher managed to get some new beads from the parade and we returned in one piece, though all of us seem to have a cold now.
